Biography

Dumbarton appointed Craig as first team coach in September 1918.

He had been a trusted no.2 to Greenock Morton manager Jim Duffy from 2014-18.

A Greenock lad known to all as 'Hagi' — because of a wand-like left peg that recalled Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi — the left back or left-sided midfield player kicked off his career with Gourock Amateurs.

Then-Morton manager Allan McGraw gave the talented 23 year-old his break in full-time football, and he spent six seasons with his hometown team — including a spell with Sons boss Stevie Aitken — before moving on to Clyde and Airdrie.

Craig finished his playing career with Falkirk in 2006 and continued his association with the Bairns as technical director of their highly respected youth academy before returning to Cappielow.
