GORDON LENNON MEMORIAL MATCH

TODAY'S Gordon Lennon memorial match was won 2-1 by the Dumbarton FC Select.
It was a sporting, good-natured match that provided a fitting occasion to remember the Sons skipper, who died in June aged 26.
Pat Boyle opened the scoring for Sons close to half time and after wholesale substitutions, Kieran Brannan hit a second on 72 minutes.
Chris Craig got a late consolation for the Gordon Lennon Select, who comprised mainly of Guido's team-mates from his former clubs.
The attendance for the match was 732, but more tickets than that were sold.
Scott and Buchan Lennon bring the third division trophy on to the pitch.
