SONS PREPARE FOR THISTLE MATCH

Tuesday 13th July 2010

PARTICK Thistle will give Jim Chapman's new look Dumbarton side a tough test in tonight's second match of the pre-season campaign.

Following on from the draw at Galabank at then weekend, the Sons boss is looking forward to a match that will test his squad.

He said : "Whilst it was a good workout on Saturday, we now have a very tough game against a higher division team.

"Last season, at the same point, we played Thistle and lost 2-0, but it was still a good game from our point of view."

Chapman, along with the supporters, will be able to see new signings Graham Wilson and Paul Nugent in action for the first time and with last season's top scorer Scott Chaplain back in the fold, the gaffer has options at his disposal.

Thistle will arrive at SHS on the back of a 3-1 defeat of Queens Park last weekend and Dumbarton's defence will need to be wary of Liam Buchanan, who scored two of Partick's goals in that match.

Kick-off is 7.30pm and entry prices are £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
