DUMBARTON lost 2-0 to Oxford United today as the full-time English League Two outfit's superiority showed.
They opened the scoring through Alfie Potter on 19 minutes, having previously had some close chances.
Oxford's victory was then clinched midway through the second half when Sam Deering chipped their second goal.
Sons struggled and failed to seriously test the Oxford keeper, but it was still a useful exercise in building up match sharpness.
