AGGY IS PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Sunday 6th May 2012
SCOTT Agnew has been crowned as Dumbarton FC's Player of The Season.
Aggy won the prestigious gong after topping the fans poll and a packed function suite at the Abootsford Hotel showed their appreciation of the popular midfielder's contribution to what has been a successful season for the Club.
James Creaney won the young player of the season with the Sonstrust's Special Award going to hard working club photographer and Trust board member Donald Fullarton.
Striker Bryan Prunty picked up three awards including top goalscorer, goal of the season and was crowned the Sons View player of the year.
And in a night charged with emotion, the late Dan Lynch was awarded the Graham Brough Memorial Shield for Fan of The Year following a brilliant presentation by Graham's grandson Jack.
The annual ceremony was organised by the Sons Supporters Trust with DFC's chief match scout Ricky Hutchison acting as master of ceremonies.
