Biography
After an extensive and carefully-conducted recruitment process, the decision was made to bring Stevie back to the club as manager in May 2021.
The 48-year-old signed a two-year deal as manager, and brings his assistant Frank McKeown with him from Stranraer.
Stevie previously served us as assistant manager from May 2015 to January 2017, before being handed his first senior role as a manager at Stair Park.
He has since spent four years in charge of the Blues and most recently led them to the League One playoffs at the end of a truncated 2020/21 season.
Stevie is an extremely well-respected and highly thought of manager.
Dumbarton chairman John Steele said: "Stevie was the outstanding candidate for the role.
"He knows the club from his previous time here, and is very highly thought of as a manager. We very much look forward to working with him."
A very successful opening few months was recognised in October when he won the Glen's Vodka League One manager of the month for September.
