DUMBARTON PREPARE FOR NEXT TEST

Friday 15th November 2019

DUMBARTON are at home tomorrow for the second week in a row, facing Falkirk in a match sponsored by Signs Express Glasgow.

After disappointing defeats on the last two Saturdays, Sons know that a result is required in order to avoid getting detached from the chasing pack in League One.

It is known, though, that the match against the newly-relegated Bairns will be a tough test, not least after events when the sides first met this season.

Dumbarton sustained a hefty defeat that day, but manager Jim Duffy is optimistic of some revenge for that - if his team perform as they can.

He said: "We did well to come back from 2-0 down to level against East Fife last week, but we could not kick on from there and for the second week in a row, came away disappointed.

"The last two games have not seen us reach the standards we are capable of, but if things can turn around one way in that space of time they can turn the other way as well.

"We know what an examination of our abilities we face tomorrow but if we play as well as we can, we can afford a fair measure of confidence.

"The players have, as ever, worked hard on the training pitch this week and are desperate to get back on the pitch and get things moving positively again."

A full squad trained last night and are available for tomorrow's game, meaning that left back Rico Quitongo (pictured) could return after missing the last two games.

Fans of both sides are reminded that the match is all-ticket, and tickets for the home end will be available on matchday. Falkirk fans should contact their own club regarding away end tickets.

Because of this, only home fans will have access to Bar 72 tomorrow, entering via the east turnstiles. Falkirk supporters should enter via the west turnstiles.

Due to a function taking place tomorrow evening, Bar 72 will be closed after the match.

Referee Barry Cook will be in charge of tomorrow's game, assisted by Andrew McWilliam and Ian Hart.

Copies of the club's award-winning matchday programme, Sons View, will be on sale from outlets throughout the stadium before kick-off.
