DUMBARTON FACE A TEST AT ALLOA

Friday 19th November 2021

DUMBARTON travel to face Alloa Athletic tomorrow in the latest effort to put another victory on the board.

Having confronted the recent difficult run, manager Stevie Farrell has continued to work hard to turn fortunes round.

And he is anxious for a reward for that hard work, as well as the efforts of his players on the training pitch this week.

A win will move Sons within a point of the sixth-placed Alloa as the season closes in on the halfway point.

Stevie said: "Last week against Falkirk was our poorest performance of the season and we could have no complaints about the result.

"But now we need to draw a line under it and look to make the most of the opportunity we have in front of us tomorrow.

"Alloa gave us a difficult game earlier in the season, when we drew 1-1 at home, and we know they won't make it easy for us tomorrow.

"However, despite the recent difficulties the endeavour remains there among our players. They are as keen as we are to get a victory posted and we'll give it our best shot.

"If we play as we have shown we can, then we'll give ourselves a chance."

Ryan McGeever and Kristoffer Syvertsen are once again injured and won't feature at Alloa. There are also doubts over Ross MacLean, Paul Paton and Kirk McKnight.

Away supporters will enter via turnstiles 11-13, behind KFC, and will be located in the away stand and terracing at the railway end.

Admission costs 18 for adults, 10 for senior citizens and 4 for juveniles.

If you can't make it to the Indodrill Stadium tomorrow, live streaming is available as per our previous story.

There will also be live in-play commentary on our Twitter feed @DumbartonFC.

David Dickinson will referee tomorrow's game, with assistance from Colin Drummond and Michael MacDermid.
