TEST FOR DUMBARTON ON RETURN HOME

Friday 18th November 2022

DUMBARTON are back home tomorrow to play Forfar Athletic in a match sponsored by HL Metals, where adult admission on the day costs just 10.

Now with a cushion at the top of cinch League Two, Sons are aiming to keep the good run going and make it four wins in a row.

But against a Loons side now under the management of a familiar adversary, they know it will not be easy.

Ray McKinnon became Forfar manager last week and started his tenure with a draw at home to Bonnyrigg Rose.

Manager Stevie Farrell is well aware of the test in store, but is confident his team can rise to the challenge.

He said: "We put an excellent result and performance on the board last week away to Elgin City and that should motivate us to kick on.

"But we know that Forfar will not make it easy for us, just like our last meeting with them when they held us to a draw.

"Their players will be looking to show the new regime why they should be a part of their plans going forward. We must be on our guard and on top of our game.

"If we can do that, we will stand a good chance. We know we are good enough and in a good position in the league."

The manager could welcome Ally Love (pictured) back into the squad for his first match action in five weeks.

However, Finlay Gray, Declan Byrne and John Gemmell remain out.

As reported earlier this week, adult admission on the day will cost just 10 tomorrow.

With no cinch Premiership action due to the World Cup, the club decided to lower the price for our only home game during the top flight's break.

The price for concession admission will also be 10, and under-16s are admitted for 5. You can purchase a ticket in advance of your visit.

Season ticket holders and Young Sons members of course only need to produce their ticket at the turnstile to gain entry.

Our half time draw can also be entered electronically if you are unable to attend the game.

Away supporters will be situated in their usual area of the west side of the stand - the one furthest away from Castle Road.

However, they will be able to enter through the east turnstiles and gain access to Bar 72 for a pre-match drink, along with Sons supporters.

As we also mentioned this week, the turnstiles and bar will open at the earlier time of noon, and there will be entertainment from local singer Mark Morrison.

Tomorrow will be Forfar's first visit to Dumbarton since April 2021, when a late goal by Conner Duthie for Sons was the only one of the game.

Their last visit with fans in the stadium was Dumbarton's last home game before lockdown and resulted in a 2-0 home victory.

It is a busy day in hospitality tomorrow, with match ball sponsor Dylan Ellis joining the HL Metals party.

We have other guests joining us for hospitality as well - thanks everybody for your support and we hope you have a great day.

Gavin Duncan will referee tomorrow's game, and will be assisted by Andy Milne and Calum Doyle.
