Resident Poet
STEPHEN Watt is a poet and performer from Dumbarton whose books include 'Spit' (2012) and 'Optograms' (2016).
Beating 8,000 entrants, Stephen lifted the Poetry Rivals slam crown before going on to win the StAnza Digital Poetry Slam, the Hughie Healy memorial trophy, and the Tartan Treasures award.
He was appointed Dumbarton Football Club's Poet-In-Residence in 2016 and selected as the first crime poet to appear at Bloody Scotland Crime Writing Festival in the same year.
His side-project Neon Poltergeist released their gothic debut EP around Hallowe'en 2016, and he also reviews for punk magazine Louder Than War, cultural site The Mumble, among others.
Stephen has had his poems published in our matchday magazine The Sons View over the past year.
